Problems with my 2003 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Air Conditioning Compressor?

I need help with my 2003 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It has over 200,000 miles and the compressor finally stopped working. For the longest time it was making a loud
WHAAAAAAA sound then just this Sunday night, it decided to stop. When I checked it out, there was smoke coming from the pulley in front of the compressor. It was late and I was tired from work, so I decided to
let the engine cool over night and to check it in the morning. Well, the next day comes around and I opened the hood and started the car. Then I turned on the AC to see what’s going on with it. Either the pulley or
compressor was sparking and there was dry, warm air coming out of the vents.

I’m going down to the junk yard tomorrow to get a "new" compressor and pulley. Is there any other parts I need to pull? And do I need any special tools? As for regular tools, what will I need? I’m only an amateur when
it comes to working on cars, but I’m still young enough to become an expert. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How much cfm/psi do I need for changing car and truck tires?

I’m looking to get a good generator/air compressor for the shop. I will be changing some tires and need to know what the minimum cfm/psi is to get the tires to bead on the rims without too much wrestling.
I’ll be using it for cars and full size pickups. No monster tires or anything like that

What do you call the air compressor mechanics use?

at tire shops and repair shops if you walk to where the mechanics are working on cars, you usually hear air wrenches and tires being inflated. What are the actually air sources they use? becasue i know small compressors dont put out that much air at once. Does anyone know what they are called or know a website i can go to to look at how one looks?

What kind of air compressor should I get for my car?

It’s mostly for my car tires, although I suppose I can use it for future inflatable toys like tubs, etc. I don’t drive much, so I often go 6 months between oil changes. It’s probably too long in between checking tire pressure. I get gas at a place that doesn’t have air. I don’t like going out to a gas station to get air because strange people would approach me and ask for money at night.

So should I get a heavy duty shop air compressor, or should I get a small compressor like the ones people hook up to the car lighter? I probably would only use it once a month for 3 cars, so I prefer not to get something too big that sits unused in the garage. Do they come with accurate pressure gauges? I don’t know how accurate the hand-held gauges are. thanks.
